Household Hazardous Waste doesn’t seem like a threat when you’re holding it in your hand, but it adds up.  Your efforts to properly dispose of these substances greatly improves the status of our waste management practices.

The North Dakota Attorney General administers a Take Back Program.  Disposal locations can be found here.   In addition, the The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality provides these Disposal Tips for Home Health Care.

The ND Department of Environmental Quality has provided many documents regarding landfills in North Dakota.

 

Project Safe Send

Each summer, the Department of Agriculture offers a used pesticide collection called “Project Safe Send” in communities across the state.  Anyone working with pesticides should take stock of their inventory and set aside unusable pesticides for disposal in this manner.
